Course: The Divide Golf Club

First time playing here on 2/8. As all courses are right now, it was wet, a little moreso than the others recently despite a full day of sun and drying out. The 18th hole is a great per 5 finisher and there is a nice mix of par 3's and doglegs in both directions. Greens were rolling well, fast for winter time, and other than a few brown patches here and there and a bit of ball mark damage, rolled good and true all day. Overall a good track, just not quite as memorable a layout as the other Carolina Trail courses I've played.

First time playing here was the 2/4 event. Enjoyed the layout. I'm starting to grow fond of the five par 3 design for some reason. Also liked the very reachable 5 pars. Its nice to feel like a pro every now and again where most 5's are reachable. It was the first time on Champion Ultra Dwarf greens and they are definitely a different experience. Not a bad thing, just a different monster than I'm used to. All in all, one of the better layouts in the area with a beautiful 2nd shot on the finishing hole. Certainly won't be the last time I play this track.

Played this course for the first a few weeks back (before the 'blizzard'). It is a great layout with spectacular views of downtown Raleigh. Greens rolled fast and true and put a premium of of solid distance and line judgment. The only real hazard to the course (other than its length) are the bunkers. Deep soft sand made for some big numbers. Most of the bunkers are the size of a waste area on most courses.

Have played it a couple times and was never really impressed. Tee boxes always seemed to be in poor shape. Just not a fan.

OK Course. Not worth what they charge and can be a long round depending on what time you play. Short course but has some nice holes. I would say this is an average course for the Raleigh area. Some of the holes are bordered by homes.
